Now + Next: St. Kevin’s
August 2015 - The St. Kevin's Redevelopment is located in the heart of Upham's Corner in Dorchester, MA, and shares a corner with the historic Pilgrim Church and the Strand Theater. The former St. Kevin's campus is being repurposed as 80 units of mixed-income affordable workforce housing, including a community space on the ground floor in the newly constructed building.
Walsh joins mayors at Vatican vowing to tackle climate change, poverty
August 2015 - Mayor Marty Walsh and 60+ mayors joined together at the Vatican July 21 to address the issues of climate change and trafficking, promising to take action on their homefronts.
Community Economic Development Assistance Corporation: St. Joseph’s
August 2015 - Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA) of the Archdiocese of Boston collaborated with Bank of America Community Development Corporation to redevelop the former St. Joseph's Parish in Salem. After the Parish closed in 2004, the church building sat vacant for 9 years before being demolished.

August 2015 - In 2010, Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA) approached CEDAC for predevelopment financing to redevelop the campus of the former St. Kevin's School into 80 units of affordable rental housing in the Upham's Corner area of Dorchester, just blocks from shopping, schools, and the campus of St. Mary's Women and Children's Center.
