Meet Cote Village Townhomes resident Christine Harris - she's a longtime Boston resident who has always lived between Dorchester and Roxbury. She lives with her two adult children and works for Hallmark in fulfillment, stocking cards. She lived in her last home for 10 years, was looking for a new start, and felt most comfortable moving into one of the townhomes, which provides amenities, on-site property management, and parking.

Meet Dennene Jackson – she’s a longtime resident of Mattapan and a single mom of four boys, with her oldest turning 40 this year. She raised her sons on her own and, with Cote Village, wanted a new opportunity; and to live somewhere nice and clean, well-kept, and with no pests. She was unhappy living in her prior residence, was facing depression, and wanted a new scope on life. She is thrilled to be living at Cote Village, with her youngest son, who is in school to become a sports agent.

She left her home of 30 years to move into Cote Village; has survived breast cancer; and cares for her granddaughter full-time, while working her office job remotely from her apartment. She's grateful to be somewhere new and well cared-for, without a slumlord landlord, at a price she can afford in the neighborhood she grew up in.

West End Place Resident N’Dia Riegler Receives Award

West End Place resident N’Dia Riegler, a teacher at The Eliot K-8 Innovation School, has been named the 2020 Massachusetts History Teacher of the Year, an award presented annually by the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, the nation’s leading organization dedicated to K-12 American history education. Inaugurated in 2004, the History Teacher of the Year Award highlights the crucial importance of history education by honoring exceptional American history teachers from elementary school through high school. The award honors one K-12 teacher from each state, the District of Columbia, Department of Defense schools and US Territories. Read the full press release here.
